Corner Canyon (1-0) overwhelmed American Fork (0-1) in a high-scoring nonregion matchup, rolling to a 70-42 victory. Helaman Casuga had a stellar performance, completing 18 of 20 passes for 482 yards and six touchdowns, with Chryshaun Lee catching nine balls for 265 yards and five scores. Bryton Brady added ground support with 282 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 14 carries. American Fork’s David Gaisford threw for 327 yards and five touchdowns, connecting with Cade Wilkinson for three of those scores. Despite the Cavemen’s offensive efforts, the Chargers’ explosive start and consistent scoring proved too much to overcome. – Desert News
