Orem (2-0) rallied with 13 points in the fourth quarter to edge American Fork (0-2) in a nonregion thriller, 32-26. Feleti Iongi’s 2-yard touchdown run at the 7:02 mark of the fourth quarter tied the game, and his 19-yard run with 9:45 left in the game secured the Tigers’ comeback. Tayden Ka’awa threw for three touchdowns, including a 53-yarder to Kaue Akana at 11:27 in the third quarter. American Fork’s Cade Wilkinson had a standout performance with a 90-yard punt return for a touchdown and a 12-yard TD reception in the first half. Despite being outscored in the second half, the Cavemen stayed competitive with David Gaisford’s two touchdown passes, but it wasn’t enough to halt the Tigers’ late surge. – Deseret News
